Anton Orlov is a six year old boy from Petrozavodsk ( The Republic of Karelia, Russia). He? s been going in for sport since the age of six months. Since he was 4 he has been into weightlifting with some elements of bodybuilding and gymnastics.
His couch is Orlov Sergey Alexandrovich, the boy? s father. He is a Master of sports in free- style wrestling and a candidate for a Master of sports in weightlifting and he has the first category in sports gymnastics.
Besides Sergey Orlov is the author of the books called «Organic Cosmology. The origin of the Universe and the life», «Divine Tragedy. The Bible is an anecdote» and the collection of poems «The Tired violin».
In December of 2002, at the age of 6 Anton Orlov had the following results in triathlon: squatting 48 kilos; press 31 kilos; weightlifting ( traction) 55 kilos. So the total sum is 134 kilos.
This sum is 6,7 times as much as Anton? s weight (He weighed 19 kilos at that time). According to the norms of the categories in weightlifting his results ( when strength exceeds his own weight to so great an extent) correspond to a candidate for a Master of sports in weightlifting at this age( 6 years old).
For three years Sergey Orlov has been developing the system of methods for training children at the age of 3 in heavy athletic kinds of sports such as weightlifting , bodybuilding and etc. His experience shows that this kind of sport is the easiest way of children? s physical development, because these short-term concentrated physical assignments allow a child to avoid long-term physical exercises in other kinds of sport.
It should be noticed that the results mentioned above were reached by Anton without using anabolic steroids and special athletic equipment ( tights, a sleeveless vest for press and special bandages). Any connoisseur of weight lifting will agree that 90% of weightlifters show the results which are higher than the results of a Candidate for a Master of sports only when taking anabolic steroids and having special equipment which as a rule can increase the results by 20 30 %.
This invites comparison with the girl Akulova from Krivoy Rog , the Ukraine. At the same age as Anton she weighed 22 kilos and her total results in triathlon were 92,5 kilos.
Apart from weightlifting Anton is able to produce a flick- flack , a turnover with unbending on the acrobatic mat. He can climb and turn a somersault on the horizontal bar 18 times running. Besides he has been able to read, count and play chess since the age of 4.
Most people associate youth sport with callisthenics (gymnastics), swimming or other kinds of sport with no relation to heaviness. Children? s heavy athletics and weightlifting are treated with caution because of the dangerous impact of heavy weights on their undeveloped and unstable organisms. But our practice proved it just the opposite. In fact, heavy weights contribute to the good bearing and fine athletic build and the most sound and effective results of it can be reached in childhood. Regular exercising of backbone muscles and tendons in weightlifting makes domestic traumatism and stooping (which is so common with teenagers) impossible. Anton? s photo gives a clear evidence that such physical assignments have a positive effect on a child? s organism. By this example we can assure all parents that weightlifting and bodybuilding are the safest and the most effective kinds of sport for physical development of any child.
One more misconception is that heavy weights retard the stature ( height) of a child. Short-term and systematical exercises stimulate growth the same as an athlete builds muscular tissue by means of weights. The organism of a man offers resistance to the pressure ( compression) and, producing potentialities for its development , increases the growth. At his age Anton is 120 centimeter tall when the norm is 111- 120 centimeters. Being very popular among parents gymnastics shows the same ability of the organism to resist, but with the opposite effect. Because of constant stretching efforts ( exercises) in gymnastics a contrary physical effect appears, so that the organism resists stretching and stuns the zones of growth. That? s why gymnasts have a shortcoming, their low height to be exact.
There? s much more to come, strange to say , but weightlifting is not so tiring for a child and doesn? t require prolonged and frequent trainings which may cause even child? s aversion for sport because he is not mentally balanced yet. Anton has been exercising with a bar three times a week and no longer than an hour and a half at a time. But what an output! No other kinds of sport but the heavy athletic and competitive process can develop strength , the beauty of the body, the increased capacity for work, strong will and many other things in a young sportsman on so large a scale. Children? s weightlifting has one more very important upside. The fact is that trainings can be held at home. Purchasing a small bar, folding dumb- bells, making a beam in a doorway, simplified bars ( between two tables), a low bench ( for press) will be enough and this home gym can save the trouble of buying expensive equipment and it isn? t so time-consuming.
In other words , according to this example of Anton? s prolonged and effective trainings we may declare: Long live youth weightlifting and bodybuilding!
In May of 2003 The International Club of record-holders «Interstrong» accepted Anton? s application for participation in the registration of the Guinness? record in the nomination Best Results in weightlifting.
On the 4th of June in the restaurant «Esterhasi» (Moscow) the registration of the achievements of the team of the record holders took place . Anton had the following results: squatting 52, 5 kilos; press 33,5 kilos; weightlifting 55 kilos. He weighed 19 kilos.
These results were recorded as the best in the world and Anton got an unofficial name the strongest boy of the Planet.
Before the registration of the achievements in Moscow Anton had taken part in the Russian Ukraine meeting of record holders in Donetsk where the strongest girl in the world Varvara Akulova, the best acrobats- weightlifters Kiril and Denis Kalutsky and many other celebrities participated.
Everyone can become strong since childhood without great expenses and even without a gym. As for Anton, the most part of the exercises he did at home. The only thing that is necessary is to do everything correctly.
